
As 2008 draws to a close, Yahoo did a review on the on-going console war and talied up the results. By a landslide, Nintendo dominated the market, with Wii and DS sales in the millions. Microsoft followed in 2nd, holding it’s own with the 360, which left Sony in the dust in 3rd with the PS3 and PSP. Surprisingly enough, the iPhone was marketed as a better gaming platform than the PSP.

Yahtzee, in his ever cruel and twisted manner, has decided to create a montage of funny tidbits from videos we’ve already seen. Some might cry unfair at this, but I found it funny to see all of this stuff again. Oh, and just a reminder it is already Christmas in Australia, which may or may not attribute to the change in pace.

With the Holiday season in mind, Urk over at Bungie.net decided to treat the Halo Community to some new screen shots for the upcoming Mythic Map Pack; namely of Orbital and Assembly. He also painfully reminds us that the maps will not be comming out until next year, to be released alongside the Halo Wars Limited Edition. There’s about 22 screens in total, so you should go check them out in his post.

So home finally launched. It did have a few kinks in the beginning, but it seems to be sailing smoothly now. IGN has an interesting article up about how home is different in different regions in the world. For instance Europe’s version of home has the biggest theator out of all of them and the Japanese Home has a cafe that none of the other ones have.
I’ve been hearing bits and pieces about this game, but I saw the trailer for it the first time today. It looks pretty good, but I’ll have to see some more gameplay before I have an opinion.

Within the next month, the Fable 2 Downloadable Content will be hitting the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. This new content will add on an entirely new area: Knothole Island, a magically place inhabited by descendents of a village from the first game. There you can undergo 3 new quests, and try out numerous articles of clothing, weapons, and even a “Flying Lute Axe”. This download will only set you back a mere 800 Microsoft Points.
