It’s official after the many years Major League Gaming is coming to Ohio! Late yesterday MLG released details for their first 2 events including specific locations and hotels. They announced early on that they would be returning to Meadowlands April 3rd to the 5th, but that’s not the exciting part.
The second stop on June 5th to the 7th will be in Columbus at the Columbus Convention Center! There are so many pros in this area and for the longest time I’ve been wondering why MLG never made a stop here. They’ve been close before, but now they’re in the heart of Ohio! Pros will be flocking to Ohio to play Halo 3, Gears of War 2, and World of Warcraft.
Get all the details for their Columbus stop on the MLG website. CinciFrag will be there to cover all of the events! We’ll see you there!

Major League Gaming has recieved 7.5 million dollars from Oak Investment Partners.MLG’s explosive growth in online and live audience, as well as its continued success in attracting major sponsors, has made it the premier competitive video gaming property in the world.
“MLG has become a cultural phenomenon, and the management team has made competitive gaming really matter for pros, fans, and marketers,” said Ed Glassmeyer, managing partner, Oak Investment Partners. “We have great confidence that the company will continue this path to success and that the challenging economic environment will provide new opportunities for investment and growth.”
You think 7.5 mil is alot of money? Oak Investments dropped 25 mil on MLG in 2006. Think about that for a while. It looks like MLG is here to stay and they are doing better than ever. Read MLG’s full press release after the jump.
